If you kill him I won't tell

Do the thing you have to, and I swear I'll tell them nothing

Inspired by an El-P song(not anything new for me, if you follow my art) about abuse and retribution from a bystander's perspective.
I like to listen to El-P and focus on how I could create a scene from it by focusing either on the mood of the song, the overall theme, or a few verses in or out of context that give me artistic vision.
This one was perfect mainly because Mortis actually does help a friend hide a body after an act of retribution(and then after is found by Maynard and Luna).

Mortis above quite a few of my characters would turn a blind eye to retribution, even if the act is murder, which is why he was choice to begin with. Mortis has a strong feeling of indifference to humanity and is a misanthrope partially from being a nihilist and mostly because of his disgust in the human condition.

As far as the piece, it's been done for a few months minus a background I did countless times and was unhappy with it. I settled for ripping a background.
The BG is a cityscape from Streets of Rage. I love the vibrant, dystopian scenery in Streets of Rage so much.
Dystopia is a theme I love to work with and basically the story of my characters are set in a dystopian world and are inspired by El-P's dystopian-themed lyrics.
The whole reason I started this was to practice a fake screenshot look but I ended up investing a lot more emotion into than I thought I would so the actual process of finishing it took the longest.

Anyway, hell of a ramble there. Didn't figure this piece would actually be a step forward in being able to define my little world and characters in my artwork and description, but I'm really proud of it because of that.
